8 THINGS I DID YESTERDAY
1. Slept the majority of the day away
2. Made Ava dinner
3. Gave munchkin a bath
4. Reinforced the importance of "pottying in the potty and not in her diapey"
5. Went to Naomi's to be moral support
6. Laundry - I hate puting laundry away!
7. Changed bed linens
8. Watched Changeling - Great movie despite Angelina Jolie

8 THINGS I LOOK FORWARD TO
1. Playing with my princess
2. Ava kisses
3. Ryan getting home
4. Finalizing all of the vacation details (flight and passports)
5. Our summer vacation to the Bahamas
6. Going to AZ at the end of the month and seeing family
7. Getting the unfinished "projects" done around the house - Do you know how stinkin difficult it is to paint the walls?! We painted 1 wall last week and we're still doing touch ups! We're hiring someone for the rest of the house.
8. Losing weight - but I guess that doesn't happen when you don't work out :/

8 FAVORITE RESTAURANTS
unfortunately I'd rather go to the restaurant than to the gym.

1. Oreganos - Vino Bambino--No tomatoes
2. Flemings - to die for steak!
3. Lindo Michoacan - pretty good Mexican food
4. Carrabas - the chicken with goat cheese and sundried tomatoes is mmm good!
5. The Cheese Cake Factory - my husband won't take me there anymore because the last time we went he ordered spaghetti and it tasted and looked like sloppy joe on top of noodles!
6. Los Betos, but only the one in Tucson on Grant Rd on the westside
7. Ra - love the vegas roll and shrimp tempura roll
8. PF Changs - mostly because it holds sentimental value (we celebrated a lot of birthdays there!)

8 THINGS ON MY WISH LIST
1. LOSE WEIGHT! I'm tired of looking like a mommy
2. Be a stay-at-home mom
3. Provide my child with a good education - I won't be able to do that here
4. Move back to AZ!
5. To love my job
6. To be independantly wealthy
7. Be near my friends again - I MISS YOU!!!
8. To be a better house wife. cooking and cleaning just isn't my thing

We decided to take a little road trip up to Utah last weekend. Ryan nor I had really never been to Utah so, we thought a nice little ski trip would be fun for Ry while Ava and I could get some fresh mountain air. It only took us about 3 hours to get all the way up to the condo we rented. When we arrived we were shocked at how absolutely gorgeous it is up there!

Here is where the story takes a turn...We unpacked the truck and got our things situated and Ryan says to me,"I'm not feeling good. I feel really weak after climbing those stairs with the luggage." I say, "OK, take a nap and then later we'll all go outside and play in the snow." Long story short Ryan didn't leave the couch or feel any better until the Cardinals won and were headed to the Super bowl (wooo-hoo)! I took Ava out of the condo once because she wasn't feeling that hot and I attempted to nurse my family back to health! What a weekend! Definitely not the weekend we had planned on having, nonetheless it was very nice to get out of Sin City for a few days. We look forward to going back next winter.

Reflecting on 2008

I've offically decided it was time I jump on the blogging bandwagon. So, here goes...

We had quite an eventful 2008. I planned a wedding in 8 months, we bought a house, Ryan and I got married, honeymooned in Cabo, Ava turned 1, spent Thanksgiving in Prescott and Christmas in St. Johns. Here is a compilation of photos taken in 2008...

Well? Where to start? I decided to start our family blog due to the fact that many of our friends and family are now scattered across the country. Thanks to Jordan and Jessie and their very entertaining blogs I thought it would be nice to share our lives with everyone too. So, please bare with me and take into consideration that I am new to this and not the whitiest writer. I hope you enjoy!
